2024 Annual Report showcases sustainable progress and alignment with Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
At DEME, we aim to build a better, livable world by offering solutions at the interface of land, water, and energy – delivering projects safely, sustainably, and efficiently. This commitment is reflected in the annual report we just published, highlighting our progress in 2024.
Over the past year, we made progress in driving the energy transition, reducing our greenhouse gas emissions, and fostering a safer workplace.
- 42% of our turnover comes from projects contributing to environmental sustainability, in accordance with EU Taxonomy.
- We achieved a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) intensity compared to our 2008 baseline, thanks to efficiency measures and the use of low-carbon fuels.
- 40% of DEME’s large vessels have experience bunkering low-carbon fuels, further solidifying our commitment to decarbonization.
- Safety remains our top priority: we reached a Worldwide Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate of 0.10, well below our target of 0.20.
Our efforts were recognized with a B-score in the CDP Climate Change assessment for DEME Offshore, reflecting our ongoing drive for transparency and impact.
