Dachser USA Air & Sea Logistics Inc., subsidiary of Dachser SE, is making moves on the Eastern seaboard that will have a ripple effect across the United States. Baltimore, Dachser´s third office in the Northeast region after New York and Boston, is located approximately two miles from the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore, which is continually ranked as one of the nation’s top ports for total cargo tonnage.
Known as the “gateway to the Midwest,” the Port of Baltimore provides Dachser with the ability to work with one of only two Eastern ports capable of handling post Panamax vessels. After long-standing success in New York and Boston, Baltimore was the next logical expansion location.
“We decided on Baltimore to further expand in the U.S. because of the importance of the mid-Atlantic trade,” said Frank Guenzerodt, President and CEO of Dachser USA. “Geographically closer to the Midwest than any other Eastern port, the Baltimore office will allow us to keep up with the rapid growth we have seen in that area of the country.”
Dachser USA currently has four offices in the Midwest in Cincinnati, Chicago, Minneapolis and St. Louis supporting the growth in the region.
Dachser is on track of having 25 locations in the US by 2020, meeting the need for growing consumer demand. The Port of Baltimore is a powerhouse in the mid-Atlantic offering a variety of options for Dachser, such as access to the East Coast’s largest containerized Marine Terminal, five public and 12 private terminals.

Dachser’s Baltimore staff will consist of five experienced industry professionals and two licensed customs brokers to assist in compliance regulations. The branch manager will be Linda Hastings, who has over 20 years of experiences in the transportation and logistics industry.
