Posted on March 30, 2026

The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) announced six recipients of a combined $6 million in 2026 Parish Matching Program awards at its recent board meeting on March 18. The Program is a funding opportunity that partners directly with Parish governments to support critical restoration efforts.

“Collaborating with our local government partners allows us to accelerate these vital, parish-led projects, strengthening community protections and restoring coastal ecosystems,” said CPRA Executive Director Michael Hare. “As part of the Coastal Master Plan, these efforts move us closer to our mission of revitalizing Louisiana’s invaluable coastline.”

Funding in FY 2026 is allocated on a reimbursement basis and made available through the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) funding.
