BATON ROUGE, LA — Coastal Day at the Louisiana Legislature will take place on Monday, May 12, 2025, providing numerous opportunities for coastal stakeholders to engage with one another and with the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) staff.
Coastal Industry Week Webinars
Leading up to the Coastal Day events, CPRA will facilitate five technical webinar sessions on topics relevant to the projects being implemented in the coastal zone. The format will include presentations on design and construction project details, followed by time for questions and discussion. The sessions will use the Zoom webinar platform.

Business Networking and Matchmaking Events
As part of the activities happening on Coastal Day, CPRA is hosting a unique networking opportunity in collaboration with the Coastal Technical Assistance Center and APEX Accelerators at the LSU Center for River Studies. Attendees will have the chance to connect with leading companies in the coastal and water management sector during a morning of exclusive business matchmaking and networking.

About the Networking Event
Open networking will be available between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. throughout the LSU Center for River Studies. About the Matchmaking Event
The Business Matchmaking Event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The matchmaking meetings are brief 10-minute sessions designed to be fast-paced, face-to-face meetings, reminiscent of speed dating, allowing prime contractors and potential subcontractors to discuss their capabilities and explore subcontracting opportunities.

Coastal Construction Project Forecast – CPRA Led
CPRA will present details on upcoming coastal construction projects that will be advertised for bid within the next 12 to 18 months. This session will focus on projects led by CPRA and will also cover best practices for doing business with the agency.
