The weather has been so nice of late that some residents will be looking to put their boats in the water soon.
There are a few spots you can do that, but one of them will be unavailable starting on Wednesday until the end of the month.
Crews will be starting the annual dredging of the Cook Road boat launch on Wednesday, a process that’s expected to last about two weeks.
The annual dredging is a process to remove the buildup of sand that drifts northwards from the mouth of Mission Creek into the boat launch area, which makes it difficult for people to safely put their boats in the lake.
“We will be relocating the dredged sand to Rotary Beach,” said Scott Bushell, project manager.
“Therefore, part of the parking lot at Rotary Beach will be closed during the re-locations of sand.”
Fencing will be in place at the boat launch to notify people of the closure and the area that they need to stay out of.
