In a last minute change of plans, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers cancelled the cancellation of their appearance before the Board of Selectmen – in other words, after notifying the town that no representative would be available for the April 11th meeting, they made it there after all.
This was good news for the board and the public, since completing dredge work on the harbor channel has become an urgent matter in the face of the imminent boating season. Work was originally scheduled to be completed between Oct. 15, 2015 and Jan. 31, 2016.
