Coastal Restoration Plans Proceed for Tuckerton, Little Egg Harbor

A $2.1 million coastal dredging and eco-system restoration project in Tuckerton and Little Egg Harbor, paid for by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s Hurricane Sandy Resiliency grants program, is on schedule and on budget. That news comes from a July 22 report by project engineer Jason Worth P.E. of T&M Associates. Work is scheduled to start in April 2016.

A feasibility study, preliminary dredging survey and identification of proposed dredge fill sites have been completed. A survey of water depth in the lagoons, and plans for the areas to be dredged, have also been completed.
