OSHA Proposed Rule: Heat Illness Prevention in Outdoor and Indoor Work Settings Group Discussion

The proposed standard would apply across general industry, construction, maritime, and agriculture sectors under OSHA’s jurisdiction. It would require employers to implement a heat hazard evaluation and control program, clearly outlining employer responsibilities to protect employees from hazardous heat exposure.

Electrical Thermography

Infrared thermographic inspection is a non-contact diagnostic method used to detect and visualize temperature differences in electrical systems. It is useful for identifying  potential issues like loose connections, overloaded circuits, insulation failures, and component degradation—before they result in system failures.
