C&C Marine and Repair LLC, Belle Chasse, La., is putting the final touches to the 6,600 hp, 170- by 50-foot towboat M/V Scarlett Rose Furlong.
Set to be delivered by mid-September to Nashville, Tenn., headquartered Hines Furlong Line, the boat was designed by Portland, Maine, based CT Marine LLC.
Main propulsion power is provide by three Cummins QSK60-M main engines, supplied by Cummins Mid-South, that are paired with three Reintjes WAF 1173 H/V reduction gears, provided by Karl Senner LLC. The vessel’s service power is provided by three Cummins QSM11-DM, 275 kW generators.
The vessel’s conventional steering system hydraulic power was provided by EMI Marine, St. Rose, La.
