HOUSTON, TEXAS – Caterpillar Marine today announced it has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Singapore-headquartered Strategic Marine (S) Pte Ltd (“Strategic Marine”). Strategic Marine is internationally renowned for producing quality, high-performance ships for commercial, defense and security use across the globe.

Strategic Marine is a dynamic shipbuilding company with an international book of business and recognized worldwide for crafting high-performance commercial and governmental marine crafts. As an expert aluminum shipbuilder, the company has delivered over 600 vessels worldwide for maritime, offshore energy industry, tourism and naval defense applications. Strategic Marine originated as Geraldton Boat Builders Pty Ltd in 1984 in the Western Australian port of Geraldton, with a focus on constructing high-performance offshore fishing boats.
For Strategic Marine, their drive and focus towards lower-emission propulsion right across their product range, from Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) for the offshore wind industry to Fast Crew Boats (FCBs) for the offshore oil and gas industry and other classes of vessels is part of their own ambition of delivering sustainable solutions to the industry.
