The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a contract for the Cape Cod Canal dredging project, which is expected to begin in early January 2016. According to the Cape Cod Times, the contract was awarded to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co., the project’s low bidder, at $5.9 million.
The project is expected to take 2 to 3 months to complete, according to the Corps, and must be completed by March 31 because of environmental regulations.
