The board of the Big Bear Municipal Water District voted 5-0 Sept. 15 to move forward with pursuing a 10-year maintenance-dredging permit for the district from the Army Corps of Engineers.
An engineering services proposal from Moffat and Nichol was approved to not exceed $250,000 on the condition that Moffat and Nichol hold a scoping meeting Oct. 6.
The special meeting will add a week or two to the year-long timeline, but the workshop will inform attendees on the details of the proposal, and allow the board and public to voice their opinions about the project, MWD General Manager Mike Stephenson said.
