Transporting cargoes that weigh tens of thousands of tons by sea is always a remarkable feat, even after countless long-distance transports. Our semi-submersible heavy transport vessel BOKA Vanguard – the largest of its kind in the world – recently completed another impressive assignment, transporting the FPU Opportunity from Singapore to Turkey. What made this arrival in Turkey particularly special was our BOKA Vanguard’s passage under the Çanakkale 1915 bridge. Boskalis played an important role in installing several sections of the world’s longest suspension bridge, making this a heartfelt return to Turkey.
