For the past five years, we have shared an update in December about our Boskalis Worldwide Connected Radio Show. And yes, this year was no different. Once again, our award-winning radio show proved to be a huge success. Together with more than 6,000 colleagues and their families in 59 countries, we looked back on the past year, celebrate the many successes and looked ahead to the future.
During our eight-hour live radio show, we connected Boskalis colleagues working on our vessels, in offices and on projects all around the world. As part of the show, we raised and donated a total of 100,000 euros to the charities Justdiggit and the Stichting Veteranen Search Team.
Justdiggitย restores degraded landscapes in arid regions, particularly in Africa, in collaboration with local communities. With our donation,ย we will support theย bunds program, which involves digging semi-circular pits to capture rainwater, restore soil and bring new green life to the land.
Stichting Veteranen Search Team (Veterans Search Team)ย consists ofย 2,900 volunteersย with backgrounds in the military, police and fire service. They are on call 24/7 to search for urgently missing persons โ often individuals with mental health issues or elderly people with Alzheimerโs or dementia.ย Boskalisโ donationย will be used to purchase high-quality protective clothing, enabling the volunteers to work safely and effectively under all circumstances.
A big thank you to all our listeners, guests, our DJs Stacey Smith, Mattijs Franken and Mark Wijsman, and to the team of Boskalis colleagues who organized this spectacular event with fantastic support from Fijnevent and Hoevenaars.
