Name a vessel that can remove previously installed cables, install and bury new ones under the seabed and also take care of the survey? Indeed, that’s our impressive BOKA Ocean. Boskalis’ cable-laying vessel is currently proving itself as a true all-rounder off the Dutch coast, where it is replacing four inter-array cables in an existing offshore wind farm.
The BOKA Ocean’s carousel is therefore loaded with over 3 kilometers of cable that can be installed with extreme precision via its state-of-the-art modular cable-laying spread. In addition, the vessel is equipped with a burial spread to bury the cable at the desired depth under the seabed to keep it in position for years to come. And finally, the BOKA Ocean has a survey spread to perform post-lay survey activities to ensure that the installed cable fits perfectly within the design.
