Last year, we announced that our BOKA Vanguard – the largest semi-submersible heavy transport vessel in the world – was widened by 10.3 meters for future heavy transports. That groundbreaking widening has once again proven its value. Recently, our project team in Qingdao, China, loaded the “East End” floating dry dock for Grand Bahamas Shipyard onto the BOKA Vanguard.

Measuring 335 meters in length, the cargo extends 44 meters beyond the stern and 17.5 meters beyond the bow of the mighty heavy transport vessel. And with a width of 75 meters, the massive dry dock fits perfectly between the casings, which are now 80 meters apart following the widening of the vessel in 2024. Once again, the BOKA Vanguard pushes the boundaries of heavy marine transport.

We thank Grand Bahama Shipyard and Seabridge Marine for their trust and wish the crew of the BOKA Vanguard another safe and successful voyage to the Bahamas.
