Bob Hall Pier has officially reopened to the public, marking a major milestone for Nueces County and the Coastal Bend community. Located on North Padre Island near Corpus Christi, the pier has long served as a destination for fishing, recreation, and tourism along the Texas Gulf Coast.
Originally damaged by Hurricane Hanna in 2020, the pier required a full reconstruction after sustaining significant structural loss. In 2024, Nueces County awarded the design-build contract to Callan Marine to lead the redevelopment effort.
Callan Marine was responsible for the comprehensive design and construction of the new pier structure. The scope of work included marine pile installation, structural framing, decking, and close coordination of engineering and environmental considerations unique to Gulf-front construction. The rebuilt pier features an approximately 20-foot-wide deck to improve pedestrian flow, ADA-compliant access to enhance public accessibility, and structural upgrades engineered for improved resilience in coastal conditions. Modernized materials and construction methods were incorporated throughout the project to support long-term durability and performance in a demanding marine environment.
