Axiall Corporation began the Bayou d’Inde remediation project at Lockport Marsh and areas near the Lake Charles manufacturing facility in December 2014.
The remediation project is part of the work required under an October 2013 agreement between the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality and several companies, including Axiall. Prior to this work, in 2009, Axiall created a 20-acre wetland area near the I-210 Bridge, which remains viable today.
