There’s no funding for New Jersey beach replenishment in President Obama’s federal budget proposal, a fact that oceanfront homeowners here say proves they’re right that money may not be provided to protect their homes from future storms.
Many oceanfront property owners here are fighting against the state’s attempts to condemn their land so that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers can complete a massive beach replenishment project from Manasquan to Barnegat inlets.
