Barnstable Harbor Mid-Entrance Channel and Blish Point Ramp Dredging Project

Posted on December 15, 2025

On Saturday, December 20, 2025, the Town of Barnstable’s contractor, AGM Marine Construction, will begin mobilizing equipment in preparation to commence the Barnstable Harbor Mid-Entrance Channel and Blish Point Boat Ramp Dredging Project. Dredging operations are anticipated to begin on Monday, December 22.

Weather pending, dredging activities will be on going during low and mid tides; however a brief pause of work will be observed from December 24 – 26, 2025. Dredging is expected to be completed by January 31, 2026.

During the dredging period, mariners should anticipate high-tide passage only due to an active crane operating over and within the navigational channel. Mariners who require passage at other times must coordinate directly with the barge via VHF Channels 13 and 16. Please note, individuals operating vessels within the vicinity are urged to be mindful of the work and use caution while navigating the waters around the dredging operation.

If you have any questions or wish to receive project updates, please contact the Department of Public Works at 508-790-6400.
