A proud moment for Baggerbedrijf De Boer B.V. – Dutch Dredging and Royal IHC! The keel of the 2,300mยณ trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) MAGDALENA has been laid at Nam Trieu Shipyard in Vietnam. ๐Ÿšข

This custom-built dredger will be a valuable addition to De Boer – Dutch Dredgingโ€™s fleet, helping them expand their dredging capabilities with a high-quality, efficient vessel tailored to their operations. The MAGDALENA is an upgrade of the LESSE, previously built by Royal IHC, and complies with the latest IMO Tier III โ€“ Euro Stage V environmental regulations.

At the same time, this milestone marks another step in our collaboration with Nam Trieu, allowing us to offer our customers more flexibility and cost-effective shipbuilding options, while maintaining our high-quality standards. With representatives from De Boer – Dutch Dredging, Nam Trieu, and Royal IHC present at the ceremony, we look forward to bringing this vessel to life! ๐ŸŽ‰
