Essex — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District received a permit application to conduct work in waters of the United States from SHM Dauntless, LLC, for proposed work in the Connecticut River at 11 Ferry Street in Essex.
The proposed work involves work on A-Dock, D-Dock, and E-Dock at Safe Harbor Essex Island Marina. The purpose of this project is to provide greater recreational service to the area by increasing the number of slips at the marina.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is soliciting comments from members of the public; federal, state, and local agencies; Indian tribes; and other interested parties to consider and evaluate the impacts of this proposed activity. The comment period opened July 13.
