The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers expects to secure nearly $2.5 million in federal funding for repairs to marine barriers at the Westport Marina and Point Chehalis near Westport.
The funding was announced in a presentation by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Civil Works Branch Chief Jessica Winkler at the Port of Grays Harbor Commission’s Tuesday meeting.
The funding includes $1.6 million to go toward the Point Chehalis revetment — the rock wall that encompasses Neddie Rose Drive — and $860,000 to repair the breakwaters at the Westport Marina.
