The U.S. Army Corps Engineers has denied funding for a study of Red River which was requested in response to flooding in June.
The newly-formed flood technical committee, a group of area engineers, hydrologists and other experts from Caddo-Bossier Parish, asked for $1.5 million to be allocated from the Corps’ federal budget for a study of Red River.
