VENICE — With the Venice Beach renourishment project back on track after delays, Col. Brandon Bowman, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District, was in Venice on Tuesday to tour the project site and have a look at the South Jetty, the subject of an ACOE major maintenance study.

The ACOE renourishes the beach roughly every 10 years under a 50-year contract with the city that was signed after an initial nourishment project in the 1990s.
