Arcadis has strengthened its healthcare team in the UK and Ireland with the appointments of Sheldon Walsh as UK and Ireland healthcare sector lead and Laura Power as associate principal architect, enhancing its capabilities across the region.

Based in Manchester, he described the role as “an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of healthcare delivery”.
He is recognised for clinical planning, estate transformation, and strategic leadership, having led projects from feasibility through to delivery.
While Dublin-based Laura Power joins from Irish engineering consultancy, AFEC International, with more than two decades of experience in healthcare and multidisciplinary design.
Justin Harris, global practice group director for healthcare, said the appointments reflect Arcadis’s commitment to supporting healthcare transformation amid government investment.
“Sheldon’s passion for innovation and collaborative engagement with healthcare bodies brings additional senior level support our clients address the challenges they continue to face,” he said.
“Laura’s expertise and experience across multiple areas of specialism, including healthcare, introduces architectural expertise within Ireland and with further hires planned, support the current 1,000 Arcadian’s in Ireland.
“Our continued team growth demonstrates our long-term commitment to both Ireland and the healthcare sector, combining local expertise with global resources for our clients.”
