AMBITIOUS plans could set the course for a new ferry route linking Penryn, Falmouth and Truro.
The proposal to dredge a new channel in the Penryn River made waves among councillors who were given a presentation about the scheme.
Maritime consultant David Pollard said after addressing Penryn Town Council on Monday night that the proposals could “open up Penryn’s front door”.
The Jigsaw Project would involve dredging a two-metre-wide channel as part of a larger plan to help bring more visitors to Penryn and potentially introduce a ferry service that could operate in any tidal conditions.
