Acquisition of J. den Boer by Verboon Maasland

HCF Small Cap Advisory is pleased to announce that its client, the shareholders of J. den Boer, have successfully sold the company to Verboon Maasland.

J. den Boer is a Dutch family company specialized in earth, road and water works. Typical projects and activities include construction and maintenance of dikes, unloading of (contaminated) silt, activities related to river control (‘Ruimte voor de Rivier’) programs and track preparation for construction of highways and railways. Furthermore, J. den Boer has a unique position by owning a portfolio of certified clay licenses.

J. den Boer owns a state-of-the-art fleet of earth moving equipment, barges and trucks and has several transshipment locations along the major Dutch rivers. The company employs approximately 25 people.

Verboon Maasland, founded in 1951, is also family-owned and is a contractor for groundwork, roadwork and water works. The company specializes in among others site preparations, dredging, (wet) cofferdam excavation, flood control, land and water remediation and quay reinforcements. The company employs approximately 50 people.
