Abu Dhabi, UAE – 25 November 2024: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and in cooperation with the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), Abu Dhabi Maritime – part of AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS) – announced the winners of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards (Marinas Edition) during a ceremony on 23rd November. The prestigious event celebrated the exceptional achievements, transformative initiatives, and visionary leadership of marinas across the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye (MENAT region).
The awards bestowed in the ceremony held during the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS) recognised outstanding contributions across several key metrics.
D-Marin Göcek, Türkiye, earned the gold award in the ‘Customer Experience’ category. The silver award went to Dubai Creek, UAE. The bronze award went to Jeddah Yacht Club, KSA.
Palm Jumeirah Marina, UAE, won the gold ‘Employer Excellence’ award. The silver award went to Yas Marina, UAE. The bronze award went to Aldar Marinas, UAE.
The gold ‘Health and Safety’ award went to Dubai Harbour, UAE. The silver award went to Palm Jumeirah Marina, UAE. The bronze award went to Emirates Palace Marina, UAE.
Yas Marina, UAE, claimed the gold ‘Innovation’ award. The silver award went to Dubai Harbour, UAE. The bronze award went to The Pearl Island Marina, Qatar.
D-Marin Didim, Türkiye, won the gold ‘Sustainability’ award. The silver award went to The Pearl Island Marina, Qatar. The bronze award went to Ayla Marina, Jordan.
Finally, the top award of the night, the gold ‘Outstanding Marina’ award, recognising outstanding overall achievement, went to D-Marin Turgutreis, Türkiye. The silver award went to D-Marin Göcek, Türkiye. The bronze award went to D-Marin Didim, Türkiye.
Winning marinas demonstrated sector-leading operations and services. They have inspired their peers and set new benchmarks for excellence in the region.
A seventh special recognition, ‘Most Popular Marina,’ voted by members of the public, went to Ayla Marina, Jordan. The Pearl Island Marina, Qatar, claimed silver. Bronze went to Abu Dhabi Marine, UAE.
The response to this year’s Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards was overwhelming, with 120 submissions from marinas in eight countries – triple the participation level for the 2023 edition. This surge in interest speaks to the growing significance of this programme for the regional maritime sector.
