Posted on October 21, 2024

We are pleased to announce that the first steel plate has been cut at Nam Trieu Shipyard in Vietnam for a custom-built 2,300 m3 TSHD for

Baggerbedrijf De Boer B.V. – Dutch Dredging. This marks the official start of the construction of the MAGDALENA, a new trailing suction hopper dredger and an upgrade of the LESSE (also built by Royal IHC). This special moment is not only a testimony to our long-standing partnership with De Boer / Dutch Dredging, but it also marks an important milestone for Royal IHC. For the first time, one of our vessels will be built at Nam Trieu Shipyard in Vietnam, marking a new chapter in our global shipbuilding capabilities. We are proud to be working with Nam Trieu Shipyard to bring this project to life and are confident that this partnership will help deliver another high-quality vessel for our valued customer. Here’s to many more milestones to come!
