Florida Department of Transportation officials oversee work to fortify the dune line in Flagler Beach following completion of temporary repairs to State Road A1A in November 2017. A years-long effort to have a portion of Flagler Beach’s shoreline renourished took a step forward Tuesday as city and county officials reached a consensus to proceed with a $98.8 million, 50-year project.
