Milestone for the Princess Elisabeth Island: we have successfully constructed and floated all 23 concrete structures for the island. With this final structure completed, construction works at the Vlissingen site in the Netherlands are officially finished. Watch how this came together in the video below.
The structures are now at the Scaldia terminal, also in the Netherlands, for their final finishing works. In spring, offshore installation of the remaining structures resumes in the North Sea, alongside continued works to prepare the island’s interior. Once completed, the island, located 45 km off the Belgian coast, will connect offshore wind farms.
