The $20 million Nassau County Shore Protection Project to renourish the Fernandina Beach shoreline from Fort Clinch to Saddler Road has finished months ahead of schedule.
Beach renourishment in Atlantic Beach is part of the federally authorized Duval County Shore Protection Project (SPP) administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the City of Jacksonville serving as the local sponsor.
