BATON ROUGE, La. – If you have an idea for ways to protect Louisiana’s coastline, the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) wants to hear about it.
The CPRA is opening the floor to any ideas from residents, governmental agencies, and organizations as they work on developing the state’s 2029 coastal master plan. That plan is updated every six years and serves as the state’s strategic roadmap for addressing land loss and increased flooding risk along the coast.
If you’re interested in participating, an informational webinar will be hosted on July 18 from 10 a.m. to noon in order to provide an overview of the master plan, the project solicitation process, submission guidelines, and evaluation criteria.
To attend the webinar, you’re encouraged to register ahead of time online HERE in order to avoid any delays in receiving the webinar link.
The CPRA will also be holding a series of regional public workshops in July and August to talk in person with those who are interested, answer questions, and provide feedback on project ideas.
