A large bulldozer rolled past, just a few feet in front of two sunbathing friends.
Visiting Phipps Ocean Park from West Palm Beach on Saturday, the two women – each accompanied by a young daughter – had chosen a spot right next to a $17 million nourishment project depositing 20,000 cubic yards of sand per day on South End beaches.
“It’s pretty annoying,” Audrey Bourgault said of the project’s impact on her group’s visit to the beach. “Not as relaxing as usual.”
