DOF, a Norwegian offshore vessel operator, has sold two of its vessels, one to an unnamed buyer and the other to a recycling yard in Turkey.

DOF Rederi, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DOF ASA, has completed the sale of the AHTS Skandi Giant to an international buyer.

The Skandi Giant is an anchor handling tug and supply vessel of a VS 480 design built in 2002.

The company has also entered into a sales agreement with a yard in Turkey for recycling of the offshore supply vessel Skandi Hav.

The vessel, of a TMV 4000 design, was built in 1983.

According to the vessel owner, the delivery to the recycling yard is expected to take place in September this year.

The operator said that the sale of the vessels will only have an immaterial accounting effect for 3Q 2020.
