Special 3-day IADC seminar on Dredging and Reclamation comes to Asia!

Voorburg, The Netherlands, 16 May 2019 - For (future) decision makers and their advisors in governments, port and harbour authorities, off-shore companies and other organisations that have to execute dredging projects, the International Association of Dredging Companies organises a special 3-day International Seminar on Dredging and Reclamation. T his time the seminar comes to Asia and will be held from 26 – 28 November 2019 at the Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC Hotel in Mumbai, India.

The Seminar is intended for all stakeholders in the field of dredging: Government- and Port Authorities, Offshore Companies and Dredging Contractors. The in-depth lectures are given by dredging experts from IADC member companies, whose practical knowledge and experience add an extra value to the classroom lessons. Amongst the subjects covered are:

  • the development of new ports and maintenance of existing ports
  • project development: from preparation to realisation
  • descriptions of types of dredging equipment
  • costing of projects
  • site and soil investigations
  • types of dredging projects
  • environmental aspects of dredging

Face-to-face social contact is invaluable. A mid-week dinner where participants, lecturers and other dredging employees can interact, network and discuss the real, hands-on world of dredging provide another dimension to this stimulating week. Each participant will receive a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of the completion of the coursework. Full attendance is required for attaining the Certificate of Achievement.

The fee for the week-long Seminar is € 1,200.-- . This includes all tuition, proceedings, workshops and a special participants’ dinner, but excludes travel costs and accommodation.

Since 1993 IADC has provided on a regular base, a week-long seminar especially developed for professionals in dredging-related industries. These intensive courses have been successfully presented in The Netherlands, Dubai, Argentina, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Brazil.
