SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. - The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control invites the public to their workshops to learn about dredging, waterway operations and upcoming projects in the Inland Bays.

The first workshop will be 5-7:30pm at the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach. The next one will be the same time in the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company Hall in Millsboro and the last one will be at the Lewes Public Library 1-3:30pm in Lewes.

DNREC's Shoreline and Management Section will be hosting these informational sessions to share information about dredging. The discussion will be informal, allowing attendees to ask questions and interact with DNREC officials and crews who do the dredging.

DNREC is also looking for input from fisherman and boat users about areas of concern.

"[We're] trying to get information from boat users, fishermen and recreational boaters, people who use the bays, to try to find out and collect information that will help us prioritize future projects," said Michael Powell, the environmental program administrator for DNREC.
